Welcome back, and hello to those that are coming to our blog for the first time.
LETS GET THIS PARTY STARTED!
Let me pose a question. Have you ever been so tired that you fall asleep, think you had this amazing dream to only wake up, look at your clock and realized only two hours have gone by. You turn over and stare at the wall, you try to fall back asleep, but all you hear is the dogs collars rustling and the a.c. kick on. You brain goes into over drive and you can’t fall back asleep.
This happened to me the other morning, so as I sat there on the edge of the bed contemplating whether I should get up or get something to drink, a crazy thought popped into my head, DUDE go get some sunrise pictures!
So me being me, all 6 foot 2, 265 pounds, tipped toed to the bathroom, with every creak of the floor, trying not to wake my wife that is two inches away.
I get in there and get ready like its any normal work day, so that if my wife wakes up she would go back to sleep seeing that i’m just off to work.
I start to head down the stairs and I’m greeted by my four dogs, three don’t even care, like normal, but that little one. She starts barking and saying morning daddy. I get her put back into her spot on the couch and rub her ears till she quietly falls asleep.
It’s a good thing I always keep my gear packed and ready on the dinning room chair, because you never know when you might need it. I got everything ready, plus I’m bring both of our coffee cups, because who doesn’t like the necture of the gods in the morning. (Me: morning, noon, night, iced or hot lol) I remote start the car, ease out the front door trying to close it ever so quietly, and turning the deadbolt so that you know you locked it but not letting it make that popped closed sound.
Well I’m off to take sunrise pictures and then I think to myself, HEY, you don’t have a place to take sunrise photos, you live on the west coast. I drive around frantically trying to find a place that faces east off the water. Then it came to me because I wasn’t there to long ago, Anna Maria Island. I had forgotten that they had just taken down the old pier that was there, but I remembered that it faced east with the water.
I was glad I had gotten there just in time to see all the birds waking up and taking their morning flight. They added some nice silhouettes to the shore line shots.
Plus you get to meet all kinds of people who are just waking up and enjoying their morning coffee while taking in the sunrise, ushering in the new possibilities of the day.
So I head back into town after what I thought was a pretty good morning if I do say so myself, let me know what you think. All I can think is man its been a pretty early start to my day and I haven’t even had a single cup of coffee yet. So I head to my Dunkin’ Donuts (not a sponsor, maybe one day lol) right around the corner from my house and I get our usual, love that I don’t even have to say the order anymore, and get that aforementioned necture of the gods.
I pull in trying not to get the dogs barking cause well they seem to know the sounds of our vehicles these days. I slowly turn the knob trying to juggle my keys, the coffee and the door. when I’m met by the herd, way to go, daddy forgot to close the doggy gate behind him. I make it to the table to put everything down and let the dogs out. I tuck them back into the living room, not forgetting the gate this time, I grab the coffees and head back into the bedroom when I’m greeted with the ohh where have you been face. I show her the coffee and she said “Ohh you brought me coffee, you should go and take sunrise pictures more often lol!” “Let the Halloween prop building begin.”
That just shows you the excitement that coffee brings into our house. So go grab yourself a cup of coffee, scroll though some of our older post if you haven’t read them, and leave me some feed back on what you liked or didn’t, or maybe something you would like me to shoot and talk about in a later post.
Yes my wife builds most of our Halloween props, we live in a place that does Halloween pretty big. Its been such a big part of our lives that we actually where going get married on Halloween but it fell on a Monday that year so we got married on the 29th but still more or less celebrate it on Halloween. If you would like to see any of that we were thinking of making a new site on our prop building, if so let us know.
